In our flagship fundamental class, Beginner Spanish 1, we teach people who haven’t learned anything past “hola” to students who’ve tried to speak Spanish but want to start afresh, how to:

Successfully meet and greet people without worrying about messing up.
- Use the core set of Spanish vocab that allows you to ask all the important questions.
- Ask/answer about wants, needs, & simple descriptions.
- Talk about and refer to family members.
- Use common Spanish courtesy so you don’t accidentally offend anyone.
- Easily order food, and ask for help when you need it.

I like the free-flowing nature of the course - a bit of discussion of articles, current events mixed with grammar. I liked not following a strict, book-based outline. I also really liked the zoom format, which makes it possible to attend a class from anywhere that has internet access.
The exercises given for homework and in class were well thought out and helped me obtain a deeper understanding of Spanish.
