“Spanish Is The Easiest Language To Learn,” They Said…

You’ve heard Spanish being recommended as the best language to learn. But the idea that it’s the simplest to learn is only for high schoolers hunting down an easy A. The reality is, when you have 5 hearts on Duolingo by your side, learning Spanish feels easy, until it’s actually time to speak.

When you finally muster up the courage to try your Spanish out in the world, you can get the “Hola” in, but when it comes to their responses, you ask yourself, “What did they say?” one too many times. And you realize, understanding and speaking Spanish can feel like solving a Rubik’s Cube with your tongue…

While you can teach yourself vocab and basic sentences, you’re confined to memorizing certain phrases and words to use only in certain contexts — if you solely rely on being “self-taught”. But if you’ve ever had a conversation, you’ll know that sticking to cookie-cutter phrases is the fast track to confusing (and embarrassing…) conversations.

Making bilingual status feel like a dream that’ll never come true…

But Don’t Worry, Your Spanish-Speaking Dream Isn’t Dead.

The truth is: Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the Western world, and it’s the most useful language to learn behind English. But it’s only the easiest to learn if you get a fast-track to understanding the fundamentals of how Spanish works…

Once you find someone who can guide you while you learn and practice in real time, you will begin to see real progress. You need more than an app — you need to practice with people who speak the language, and learning with people at your level makes it all the more fun.

That way, you have a worry-free safe space to try things out, make mistakes, laugh together, as you start piecing words and phrases together all on your own.

And that’s why we’re here.

Welcome To The Start Of Your Language Learning Journey!

In our flagship fundamental class, Beginner Spanish 1, we teach people who haven’t learned anything past “hola” to students who’ve tried to speak Spanish but want to start afresh, how to:

  • Successfully meet and greet people without worrying about messing up.

  • Use the core set of Spanish vocab that allows you to ask all the important questions.
  • Ask/answer about wants, needs, & simple descriptions.
  • Talk about and refer to family members.
  • Use common Spanish courtesy so you don’t accidentally offend anyone.
  • Easily order food, and ask for help when you need it.

What Our Happy Students Are Saying:

“I've been taking Spanish classes at Salud for four years. The classes are fun, the instructors are excellent, and when I traveled to Ecuador people could understand me! I highly recommend them.”

-Sarah

“I can't speak highly enough of Salud and its owner/head teacher. She knows what she is doing. She knows the language and its regional variations. Her pedagogy is developed, methodical, and ensures focus on all four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking more or less equally. But best for those who want to improve listening and speaking, which can be hard to find in a language class. This is great for all levels, even lifetime learners who want to not only maintain but also improve.”

-Ryan

“Sarah is a fabulous teacher. I took in person classes pre-covid and am in zoom-based classes now. I was a little concerned that the online courses wouldn’t be very engaging… I was wrong. She’s a very enthusiastic and engaging person no matter the format/medium. 👏🏼 So yeah, if you’re reading this thinking “should I?”, yes, do.”

-Matt

“You get what you put into classes, and I enjoyed having homework even if I did fall behind!”

-Heather, Beginner Spanish 1, Fall 2025

“Salud has helped me have better dialog with my Spanish-speaking friends.”

-Rich, Intermediate Spanish 1, Fall 2025

“The instructor was lively and had great facility with the course materials and with engaging the class. I did not realize the class would be Spanish immersion, and it did help to hear Spanish being spoken (maybe just a bit slower!). I appreciate the course materials, they are well designed and helpful in learning new concepts.”

-Pen, Intermediate Spanish 1, Fall 2025

"The instructor is a continually positive and very helpful teacher. Any question is explored in a very satisfactory manner. I have found myself able to use much of what I've learned from these classes in a professional setting. It has been very useful.

-Beginner Spanish 1 Student
I like the free-flowing nature of the course - a bit of discussion of articles, current events mixed with grammar. I liked not following a strict, book-based outline. I also really liked the zoom format, which makes it possible to attend a class from anywhere that has internet access.
-Intermediate/Advance Spanish Discussion Student
The exercises given for homework and in class were well thought out and helped me obtain a deeper understanding of Spanish.
-Intermediate Spanish 1 Student
I loved the reading and listening homework assignments, followed by class discussion. This gave me an opportunity to learn new vocabulary and grammar points while having interesting content. I liked the mixing in structured grammar lessons.
-Intermediate/Advance Spanish Discussion Student
I loved the course. The teacher is very approachable and has great energy and makes the class fun.
-Beginner Spanish 2 Student
The variety of lesson types used, multimedia, and fun, engaging content. She encouraged and praised each person's contributions, allowing equal time for each, and took interest in our stories, and our experiences, which served as a very good way to draw us in.
-Intermediate/Advance Spanish Discussion Student
The homework exercises were helpful, as well as the instructor's additional input throughout the class based on real-world situations, is something I also really appreciated. Good energy from her for this online platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Missing a class doesn’t ruin anything. Almost every student who does still walks out with shocking improvements, and recordings for all the lessons are available, so you don’t miss out.

Absolutely not! We continue to have folks in their golden years, and not so golden years, learn Spanish effectively with Salud.

They are both, that way you can interact with the instructor and ask questions as you go, but you can always rewatch it in case you missed something. Note: Recordings will only be published to your classmates and instructor.

Not at all! This class is designed for people who don’t speak a lick of Spanish.

You can expect at most an extra hour to your week, but think of them as worksheets that will help you learn, not chores you have to complete.
