You Have Better Spanish Than 99% Of Learners By Now – But…

This is where many people grow complacent in their learning journey. Don’t think because you’ve come so far, that the last step has to be complex and boring… it’s a BLAST!

By now, you can construct sentences, speak about most day-to-day and important topics. But something is missing. Putting together your sentences still takes a second of you standing there saying “uhhhh” while you think. And trying to pick out the details of what you hear in music, on the news, or even when listening to one of those native speakers who talk like they are on a time limit, is still undoable.

You could so easily stop right here and still get 80% of what you need out of Spanish, but it’s this one last step that brings it all together, that ensures you never miss one. Single. Detail.

And it’s this step that will make everyone think you came out of the womb knowing a lot of Spanish…

But The Next Step Can’t Be The Same As The Last.

The workbooks, Duolingo lessons, and YouTube videos can’t really help past this point. At least not on their own. If you’re trying to close this last gap to total fluency, you need real-time practice speaking–and thinking–about many topics. And that’s where pretty much every language learning tool falls short.

So let us show you what you’re missing…

What Your Final Step To Spanish Fluency Looks Like.

In Intermediate/Advanced Discussion, we blend a variety of topics and media within the curriculum to make your Spanish more versatile. In this 8-week class, you can expect to:

  • Focus on speaking and understanding a variety of topics in Spanish without translating in your head.

  • Discuss short stories, poems, news articles, short films, and music to develop a complex, nuanced understanding of Spanish.
  • Broaden your vocabulary across different topics, making you well-versed in a variety of subject matters.
  • Build confidence expressing your thoughts and opinions in Spanish, smoothly.
  • Strengthen your listening comprehension with authentic materials

What Our Happy Students Are Saying:

“I've been taking Spanish classes at Salud for four years. The classes are fun, the instructors are excellent, and when I traveled to Ecuador people could understand me! I highly recommend them.”

-Sarah

“I can't speak highly enough of Salud and its owner/head teacher. She knows what she is doing. She knows the language and its regional variations. Her pedagogy is developed, methodical, and ensures focus on all four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking more or less equally. But best for those who want to improve listening and speaking, which can be hard to find in a language class. This is great for all levels, even lifetime learners who want to not only maintain but also improve.”

-Ryan

“Sarah is a fabulous teacher. I took in person classes pre-covid and am in zoom-based classes now. I was a little concerned that the online courses wouldn’t be very engaging… I was wrong. She’s a very enthusiastic and engaging person no matter the format/medium. 👏🏼 So yeah, if you’re reading this thinking “should I?”, yes, do.”

-Matt

“You get what you put into classes, and I enjoyed having homework even if I did fall behind!”

-Heather, Beginner Spanish 1, Fall 2025

“Salud has helped me have better dialog with my Spanish-speaking friends.”

-Rich, Intermediate Spanish 1, Fall 2025

“The instructor was lively and had great facility with the course materials and with engaging the class. I did not realize the class would be Spanish immersion, and it did help to hear Spanish being spoken (maybe just a bit slower!). I appreciate the course materials, they are well designed and helpful in learning new concepts.”

-Pen, Intermediate Spanish 1, Fall 2025

"The instructor is a continually positive and very helpful teacher. Any question is explored in a very satisfactory manner. I have found myself able to use much of what I've learned from these classes in a professional setting. It has been very useful.

-Beginner Spanish 1 Student
I like the free-flowing nature of the course - a bit of discussion of articles, current events mixed with grammar. I liked not following a strict, book-based outline. I also really liked the zoom format, which makes it possible to attend a class from anywhere that has internet access.
-Intermediate/Advance Spanish Discussion Student
The exercises given for homework and in class were well thought out and helped me obtain a deeper understanding of Spanish.
-Intermediate Spanish 1 Student
I loved the reading and listening homework assignments, followed by class discussion. This gave me an opportunity to learn new vocabulary and grammar points while having interesting content. I liked the mixing in structured grammar lessons.
-Intermediate/Advance Spanish Discussion Student
I loved the course. The teacher is very approachable and has great energy and makes the class fun.
-Beginner Spanish 2 Student
The variety of lesson types used, multimedia, and fun, engaging content. She encouraged and praised each person's contributions, allowing equal time for each, and took interest in our stories, and our experiences, which served as a very good way to draw us in.
-Intermediate/Advance Spanish Discussion Student
The homework exercises were helpful, as well as the instructor's additional input throughout the class based on real-world situations, is something I also really appreciated. Good energy from her for this online platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll fit right into this class if you already have a strong vocabulary and understand Spanish grammar well. If you’re looking to master your listening, speaking, and comprehension skills, this is the right class.

Missing a class is not a deal breaker. You will still have the class recording to review as much as you’d like--catching up is a breeze. You can also book a private class if you want extra practice.

They are both, that way you can interact with the maestra and ask questions as you go, but you can always rewatch it in case you missed something or would like to reinforce what was covered. Note: Recordings will only be published to your classmates and instructor.

That's totally understandable. This is an advanced class, but intermediate students are welcome. It’s ok to be more of a listener than an active speaker.

  • If you're newer to Spanish, check out our beginner classes.
  • If you have a solid foundation, but are not ready to be thrown into conversations without a grammatical structure, check out our intermediate classes for exposure to many verb tenses and vocabulary.
